1. Kale

Kale is a food which is packed with nutrition. Kale contains high levels of vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K1, Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Manganese, Magnesium and Vitamin B6. Two grams of kale contains only 50 calories, two grams of fiber and three grams of protein. According to authoritynutrition.com, “Kale may be even healthier than spinach. Both are super nutritious, but kale is lower in oxalates, which are substances that can bind minerals like calcium in the intestine, preventing them from being absorbed.”

 

2. Avocado

Avocado’s are very healthy and consuming them regularly have good effects on the human body. They contain nutrients such as Vitamin K, Folate, Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E. On top of that many experts believe avocados can lower your cholesterol. Avacados also contain healthy fat’s that could be a great substitute for unhealthy fats like cheese.

 

3. Beans

Beans contain many healthy compounds, two of which are isoflavones and phytosterols which many experts have found are related to lower cancer rates. Beans are also known to lower cholesterol. According to Rd.com, “Studies find that about 10 grams of soluble fiber a day—the amount in 1/2 to 1 1/2 cups of navy beans—reduces LDL cholesterol by about 10 percent.” According to Besthealthmag.ca, “Beans are in fact good for your heart, thanks in large part to their soluble fibre, which soaks up cholesterol so the body can dispose of it before it can stick to artery walls.”

 

4. Blueberries

According to Blueberrycouncil.org, “Blueberries are packed with Vitamin C. In just one serving, you can get 14 mg of Vitamin C – almost 25 percent of your daily requirement. Vitamin C is necessary for growth and development of tissues and promotes wound healing.” Blueberries also contain high levels of dietary fiber and also Manganese, (which help the human body process cholesterol) carbohydrates and protein.

 

5. Lemons

Lemons are great for your liver because they act as a dissolvent of uric acid and other poisons. Lemons contain Citrus flavonoids which can help hinder cancer cell growth. According to Fitnessmagazine.com, “just one lemon has more than 100 percent of your daily intake of vitamin C, which may help increase “good” HDL cholesterol levels and strengthen bones.”
